What does Certified Autism Resource™ mean?
It means more than simply describing a product as “autism friendly”.
As part of the IBCCES certification process, products are submitted for independent evaluation and board review.
IBCCES assesses the evidence provided and considers how the product aligns with its areas of autism competency and how it may meet the needs of autistic individuals.
The process includes application, evaluation, review and a certification decision, with ongoing surveillance of certified products in the marketplace. IBCCES
Why this matters to us
CALMR was created around a simple idea:

What IBCCES looked for
To achieve Certified Autism Resource status, a product or service must demonstrate that it meets at least one of IBCCES' autism competency areas.
The review process can include assessment or testing of the product, evaluation of supporting evidence and consideration by an independent review board. IBCCES
So this isn't a certification CALMR awarded itself.
It is independent recognition from an organisation focused specifically on autism, neurodiversity and accessibility.
